As an educator, I know how important it is for children to explore and figure out solutions by trial and error. These materials allow my third graders to explore in such fun ways. They have time to try different pieces or theories in a safe way where failure is an important part of the learning process. \r\nThe students love when we have STEM rotations. The marble run, dominoes, and magnetic lab kit were such a hit! Students got to explore how different pieces worked first with a time of total exploration. The next time, they were given challenges to complete. Students tried and then when they didn't meet the goals of the challenge, they were able to regroup, rethink, and then attempt the challenge again. Each time they learned more about gravity, magnets, and Newton's Laws of Motion. \r\nThank you for giving my students such fun ways to learn. Each set of materials will be beneficial in this year's students' learning. Future students will also be able to use these materials to further their education.","fullyFundedDate":1727463021834,"projectUrl":"project/stem-challenge-plan-it-try-it-revise/8573903/","projectTitle":"STEM Challenge: Plan It, Try It, Revise It, Do It!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9248193_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693619973802","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9248193"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43399","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":335,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":35,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"15.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":null,"schoolId":43399,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wray Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wray Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/wray-school-dist-r-d-2/wray-elementary-school/43399"}
