That being said, we have not had opportunity to use the Gelli plates just yet, but I have curated learning videos for them onto my student art website and organized a home for them (and all the supplies needed to use them) in both my classroom spaces. Either way, they were SO EXCITED to have acrylic paint markers and they used them both to try effects they had seen in social media videos and to get creative and explore using them in their own ways.\r\nSome of them tried effects such as the \"glitch effect\", an effect that is meant to look like a digital cartoon image \"glitching\" on a TV screen; neon effect, which looks like neon sign lights; and Pop Art effects like the lines and pixels that old masters such as Roy Lichtenstein used in their art.\r\nThese paint paints help students who mostly prefer to draw branch out and try something new for a change. In my classroom they choose their media and some stick to what is comfortable and don't explore much beyond the basic of drawing and coloring. These paint pens where quite popular with this crew and helped them extend their creativity.
