We absolutely love the ambiance when you walk through the door! The lights were hung with the help of student volunteers and now stretch all the way around the classroom perimeter. The \"Be Kind\" neon light is a wonderful touch that makes the space feel even more special.\r\n\r\nThe desk and chairs are placed next to the classroom window and have also become home to some beautiful plants. Many students ask about the plants, wondering what kind they are and whether they are real. I had two of my senior students help assemble the desk and chairs, and it was a great opportunity for them to practice an important life skill. Next year, they will be moving out on their own and may find themselves building furniture for their own homes! They were so invested in the project that they stayed an additional 30 minutes after school to make sure the job was finished rather than leaving it for the following day.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generous support, we have been able to elevate our classroom into a unique and safe space where students feel comfortable engaging in their learning.\r\n\r\nMany former students have also been excited to see the new lighting and upgrades to the room. It will be wonderful to see how these changes have made such a positive impression on our classroom community.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity in gifting these items to our classroom.
