Your contribution goes far beyond simply funding materials; it directly fuels creativity, innovation, confidence, and hands-on learning for every student who walks into our classroom. Because of you, our maker-centered learning environment continues to grow stronger, more dynamic, and more exciting each day.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, every project is an opportunity to build confidence, practice collaboration, and develop essential 21st-century skills such as design thinking, engineering, and problem-solving. With your support, we now have the filament, tools, and workspace needed to keep those opportunities alive and expanding. Although we already had a 3D printer, maintaining a steady supply of filament and essential accessories has been a challenge. Your generosity ensures that our students can continue designing, creating, experimenting, and learning without interruption.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, we are now fully stocked with a variety of PLA filament colors, which means students can bring their ideas to life in more expressive and meaningful ways. They are especially excited about using these materials for models of the solar system, math-based design challenges, and custom creations like keychains, name tags, and book tags for our reading challenges. The addition of the 3D printing maintenance tools also makes it possible for us to keep our printer running smoothly throughout the year. These small but essential accessories help prevent downtime, extend the life of our equipment, and teach students the importance of caring for their tools.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, I've created a dedicated 3D printing station in my home using the Whalen Abington Pedestal Desk. This organized workspace allows me to print and prepare student designs efficiently outside of school, saving gas and time by eliminating repeated trips back and forth. Students love watching videos of the home setup and learning how their projects are printed from start to finish. This streamlined process helps me stay ahead of classroom needs and ensures students receive high-quality prints that enhance their learning.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful effects of 3D printing is the shift in mindset it inspires. When students see their digital designs transform into physical objects, they begin to view themselves differently. Suddenly, they are not just students completing assignments: they are inventors, engineers, problem-solvers, and creators of the future. They learn that failure is simply part of the design cycle and that perseverance leads to breakthroughs. These are lessons that stay with them far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nBy supporting this project, you are giving my students a way to dream big and turn those dreams into something real. You are helping them engage with creativity and technology in ways that are deeply relevant to the future they are growing into. Thank you for investing in their potential and for believing in what they can accomplish.\r\n\r\nYour generosity truly makes a difference","fullyFundedDate":1761961477842,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-our-creativity-3d-printing-for/9812511/","projectTitle":"Fueling Our Creativity: 3D Printing for Young Innovators!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Godinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3652204_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1532312382725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-godinez123"},{"teacherId":3652204,"projectId":9635060,"letterContent":"On behalf of my 5th-gradefifth-grade students, I sincerely thank you for funding our classroom project. Your generosity has brought so much excitement and opportunity to our learning.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting the 3D printer to great use! It has allowed us to create prizes for our classroom challenges, from designing custom nameplates to sculpting projects during our Renaissance unit to making awards for our monthly reading challenge. Each of these experiences gives my students a sense of ownership and pride in their work.\r\nBeyond the fun, this project connects directly to real-world skills. My students are hands-on learners who love solving problems and creating new things. With this printer, they are practicing measurement, geometry, design thinking, and engineering processes. They get to measure, design, assemble, test, and improve, just like real carpenters, electricians, and engineers.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, they are seeing firsthand how math and science power modern manufacturing and design careers. This is more than just a tool in our classroom; it's a spark that inspires them to imagine themselves as future designers, builders, and innovators.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your investment in our classroom and for showing my students how their creativity and problem-solving can connect to exciting, high-tech career opportunities.","fullyFundedDate":1755981769171,"projectUrl":"project/design-build-power-3d-printing-stem-l/9635060/","projectTitle":"Design, Build, Power: 3D Printing STEM Lab","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Godinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3652204_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1532312382725","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-godinez123"},{"teacherId":3778631,"projectId":9628901,"letterContent":"We have already been busy exploring all of our new STEM materials! The Snap Circuits have been a huge hit—students who had never seen them before light up the first time they complete a circuit, and many keep coming back day after day to try new projects. The KEVA planks have inspired incredible creativity, especially with the challenge cards I created. Students love testing out different contraptions, redesigning, and cheering each other on when their designs work.\r\n\r\nAnd of course, the 3D printer has been amazing! The excitement in the room when students watch their digital designs turn into real objects is something special. They are already brainstorming new projects and can't wait to see what else they can create.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible.
