The diversity of the supplies has allowed the children to see themselves in the classroom, and know that they are valued.\r\n\r\nThe children are excited to come in the classroom and engage in the supplies and create work that is totally theirs. The moment my students saw the materials, their eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement. For many of my students, particularly those with sensory processing needs, having a safe, calming space has made a tremendous difference in their ability to self-regulate and engage in learning. One student, who often struggled with transitions, now starts his day by using the weighted lap pad and fidget tools—and we've noticed a significant improvement in his focus and participation throughout our morning lessons.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated the Sensory Cuddle Box into our daily classroom routine. Students know they can take a short break in our designated calm corner when they feel overwhelmed. During a recent group project on emotions and storytelling, students used items from the cuddle box to help express how different feelings \"feel\" in the body. It sparked meaningful conversations and helped them connect emotions to coping tools in a real and tangible way. Looking ahead, we plan to continue incorporating sensory breaks into our social-emotional learning curriculum to help build self-awareness and resilience. Your support has truly helped us create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment—thank you for making that possible!","fullyFundedDate":1753918039615,"projectUrl":"project/peaceful-place-helping-students-thrive/9341442/","projectTitle":"\"Peaceful Place: Helping Students Thrive Through Sensory Support\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Monica","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10031023"},{"teacherId":9641770,"projectId":9316810,"letterContent":"My classroom is inclusive.
