As a teacher of twenty years, I have grown accustomed to purchasing my own classroom materials, especially when it comes to classroom library books, story collections for instruction, markers, pencils, organizers, and so much more. The fact that you have offset the cost of numerous materials for me this year, truly means the world to me.\r\n\r\nI would like you to know the diverse books I selected are now in the hands of active, middle school readers. From purposeful picture books in a middle school classroom to high interest graphic novels, your donation has supported the wide range of literacy materials I have for my students to access at any time. Keeping up with literary options as well as making sure my students can see themselves in literature, no matter what their background might be, is vitally important. \r\n\r\nIn addition to reading wonderful books about diverse topics from diverse writers, my students are benefitting from the privacy folders that were included in my grant package. I absolutely love the quality of the material, the ease of storage, the flexibility of use, and the focus students are able to find within the privacy they need during assessments in class. My teammate and I are thrilled to have enough of the privacy folders for our large, combined class as well as have plenty of extra folders for our Special Services Co-Teachers to take outside of our class for our accommodated testing groups. \r\n\r\nI am overjoyed with the materials I have received due to your tremendous generosity. My students' learning experience has grown from your support of education.","fullyFundedDate":1727462763827,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-enhancements/8576199/","projectTitle":"Classroom Enhancements","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Toland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9296969"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49000","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":509,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":23,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":49000,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Wesley Powell Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Wesley Powell Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/littleton-public-school-district-6/powell-middle-school/49000"}
