The book was LOVED by the students, and they really enjoyed going through a chapter book for many of them it was their first time reading something of that length. Jamming that all in in one year is difficult on the students. \r\n\r\nWith the manipulatives, math games, and different sheets to practice different types of strategies students are getting several different ways to practice, learn, and make their learning more impactful. Students are also getting a break from the discussions I have them do and from the typical placement on laptops that many other teachers rely on. My students are able to have a choice on ways that they can practice yet is still fun for them. \r\n\r\nMy students at the end of last year loved the games where they played with their group member or other classmates and were also learning how to collaborate as well as play together without getting frustrated with losing.
