Instead of passively listening to lectures or just staring at two-dimensional diagrams, students are actively handling the model, taking it apart, and reassembling it. This kinesthetic engagement significantly improves their ability to identify and locate major structures like the frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes, as well as internal parts like the cerebellum and brainstem.\r\n\r\nStudents used the model to see the different parts of the brain. Using this model, they were able to create brain characters, where they used the parts of the brain to describe how the characters acted based on the parts of the brain. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, we consistently refer back to the different parts of the brain and the brain model as we move forward in our learning. I am excited to see how much this helps students to do well on their Advanced Placement Exam.","fullyFundedDate":1758636673466,"projectUrl":"project/brain-model-for-psychology-classes/9582870/","projectTitle":"Brain Model for Psychology Classes","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Aschwanden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9230986"},{"teacherId":9241934,"projectId":8574523,"letterContent":"We have used these mats to bring safety and life to our dance rehearsals, improvisation team, and comedic musical which closed this weekend.
