Since receiving the donations, we have been able to explore so many domains from science, math, social-emotional, etc in our preschool classroom. In October we used the growth window to explore how seeds grow and we were able to observe the roots and growth over time which was super engaging to our preschoolers. I have been able to use the laminator to create many useful materials such as the Gingerbread Man and Santa shape mats shown in the picture in December and now to work I just transitioned into my January studies( not pictured). The clear science tubes and kinetic sand were a huge hit with season materials and I am so excited to create many more science tubes with those for future projects. \r\n\r\nMy students use the chair bands daily and it has helped them focus and be able to still be able to move to regulate their bodies and release some energy, but while sitting and doing their work. This also brings me to the emotion blocks. I have used them at Dinosaur School (Social-Emotional whole group lessons) and they have also been in our quiet corner for times of identifying emotions and using them to help regulate their emotions. The kids love each and every material donated and I am beyond appreciative of everything we received. \r\n\r\nThank you to each and every donor for the generous donations to our classroom and helping me to build a foundation of love for learning through play-based materials and experiences.","fullyFundedDate":1758808894653,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-help-for-little-hands/9523624/","projectTitle":"A Little Help for Little Hands","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brittney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10105537_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755630129022","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10105537"},{"teacherId":9880545,"projectId":9576499,"letterContent":"My students LOVE LOVE the weighted lap dog, and the fidgets. One child in particular, who has experienced extreme trauma, can finally exhale when working, not only in a small group setting, but remain in his general classroom for longer periods of time. This weighted dog provides so much comfort, with students using the softness of the ears to maintain a sense of calm, and the weight providing a grounding experience at the same time. This child is so much more productive and happy.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic building shapes really create a space to be creative and think at a higher level, when attempting more complex structures. Most of my students are visual learners. so using these as a vehicle to learn fractions, in a real world way, has been a game changer. It's fun and exciting to hear their thought processes, plus I can use their building as assessments, avoiding the anxiety associated with paper and pencil assessments. It's also just a great way to decompress when having a challenging day.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets were awesome. With so many options now, they can choose which works best for them when in a high state of anxiety, without any arguments over wanting the same one. Productivity and learning have increased, and classroom behaviors have decreased.\r\n\r\nThank you ever so much for participating in creating a classroom that provides a feeling of safety and understanding for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1760449258553,"projectUrl":"project/help-im-having-a-tough-day/9576499/","projectTitle":"Help!
