Your contribution of hot glue guns, glue sticks, paper mache materials, Wikki Stix, and plastic masks has already brought an incredible burst of energy and creativity into our art room. Because of your generosity, my students now have the tools they need to explore, build, and express themselves in new and exciting ways.\r\n\r\nArt is such a powerful way for students to connect to the world and to their own imagination. Many of my students have never had the opportunity to work with three-dimensional materials before. They are used to drawing or painting on flat paper, but now, thanks to your support, they can create sculptures, mixed-media pieces, and mask designs that bring their ideas to life in tangible form. Watching them hold their projects in their hands—turning them around, adding texture, and layering materials—has been inspiring. Your donation has opened the door to a richer, more hands-on learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe hot glue guns and glue sticks have become some of our most used and cherished tools. Students have been using them to construct small sculptures, connect cardboard pieces, and experiment with combining different textures. The Wikki Stix have proven to be a favorite among our younger artists, who love to bend and twist them into shapes, patterns, and forms as they plan their designs. The paper mache supplies and plastic masks have sparked an upcoming mask-making project, where students will explore identity and expression through sculpture and surface design.\r\n\r\nBeyond the materials themselves, your donation sends a powerful message to students: that their creativity matters and that there are people in the community who believe in the value of the arts. For many of my students, the art room is a safe space where they can take risks, think independently, and find confidence in their abilities. Having high-quality materials available allows them to feel that their work—and their ideas—are important.\r\n\r\nIt's amazing to see how access to these supplies transforms not only the quality of student projects but also the way students approach problem-solving and collaboration. When something doesn't go as planned in a 3D project, they brainstorm, adjust, and try again. Those are the same skills they'll carry with them beyond the art room—resilience, creativity, and the confidence to think differently.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made a real and lasting impact. The excitement and pride that come from creating something with their own hands is something my students will remember for a long time. Every glue gun, every roll of paper mache, and every Wikki Stix creation tells the story of your generosity and belief in the importance of creative education.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and for helping to inspire the next generation of artists, innovators, and thinkers. Your support truly makes a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1746677195699,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-3d-art-to-life-essential-suppl/9144704/","projectTitle":"Bringing 3D Art to Life: Essential Supplies for Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Timm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2323306_orig.jpg?crop=200,200,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757361193073","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2323306"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_105519","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":22,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":60,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":70.6,"schoolId":105519,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about University Schools - Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"University Schools - Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/greeley-evans-weld-county-school-district-6/university-schools-middle-school/105519"}
