We've already started using Jenga, Uno, Boggle, and Phase 10, and the results have been incredible. One memorable moment was watching a group of students huddled around a Jenga tower, nervously debating which block to pull. Instead of teasing or criticizing, they encouraged one another, laughed through mistakes, and celebrated each small success together. These games have quickly become tools for practicing patience, fairness, and emotional regulation in a way that feels natural and fun.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They couldn't believe that \"real\" games they recognized and loved would be part of our classroom. Even students who are often hesitant to participate jumped right in, eager to play and connect with their peers. The sense of inclusion was immediate, as the games allowed everyone—quiet students, leaders, and those still learning social boundaries—to find a role and a voice.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using these games as part of our work on empathy and communication. They provide the perfect backdrop for conversations about perspective-taking, celebrating others' successes, and handling disappointment with grace. Students will be building stronger relationships with one another, and your donation ensures that this important social-emotional growth can continue throughout the year. Thank you for giving us the gift of laughter, connection, and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1746787337288,"projectUrl":"project/lets-learn-to-play/9195131/","projectTitle":"Let's Learn to Play!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ragu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9246787"},{"teacherId":9232441,"projectId":8561232,"letterContent":"Thank you for the materials donated to my classroom.
