The resources you funded—specifically the Kangaroo Chair, sensory pads, and fidgets—have made a significant difference for my students.\r\n\r\nWe are actively using these tools to support self-regulation, attention, and core muscle strength. The Kangaroo Chair, our favorite new piece of furniture, is used primarily as a calming and vestibular input zone. During an intense small-group lesson, a student who was starting to get overwhelmed asked for a \"boat break.\" He climbed into the lounger, got the deep pressure he needed, and was able to quietly rock himself to regulate. After five minutes, he hopped out and rejoined the group, completely focused. This use is a huge win for promoting self-advocacy! The sensory pads (the textured floor mats) and fidgets are also critical. When the children first saw the materials, their reaction was one of immediate, delighted curiosity. They understood intuitively that these were tools for their bodies, not just toys—especially with the boat-like chair providing a safe, enclosed space.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has created a more accessible and inclusive learning environment. Looking ahead, our next steps involve integrating the chair and pads into our \"Ready to Learn\" routine. We will be teaching the students how to choose the appropriate tool—the chair for calming deep pressure, the sensory pads for alerting movement—as a planned step before every major academic block. This ties directly into our current lesson on making positive choices and understanding their own body's needs.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students these essential tools for success.
