It is slow going through the stories because I have so many newcomers in class. With the help of my capable paraprofessional, we discuss the stories in both English and Spanish to be sure that everybody understands the meanings. \r\n\r\nAll of my students in both English class and French class enjoy using the white boards, as you can see in the images. They have been able to replace old worn out binders, throw away highlighters that haven't worked in years, and complete their mathematics work without having to share with 2 or more students. \r\n\r\nMy students are incredibly grateful to have new supplies and often comment on how happy they are to have materials that are nice. Most of my students have spent their entire high school careers dealing with the aftermath of COVID and the impact it had on both their education, as well as their access to materials that students from previous years took for granted. \r\n\r\nI cannot put into words how incredibly grateful I am for your amazing donation. Having the supplies at each station students has kept the students productive and on task. Last week my AP Calculus class were working on related rate problems in random groups at the vertical white boards. The students were able to do a \"gallery walk\" and have discussions with other groups on how the problems were done and the different approaches they took. \r\n\r\nStudents now prefer to work on the whiteboards and share their work in group discussions. It is easier for them to correct mistakes and they are more willing to try an approach because it is easier to erase and try something new. We will be needing to increase the budget next year for more markers. \r\nMy students used to write on their desks with whiteboard markers. The students were especially liked the little individual whiteboard erasers.
