My students collaborated, worked in groups, played math and reading games and met as a classroom community on our amazing carpet! Every activity they asked, \"Can we work on the carpet? Can we read on the carpet? Can we do it on the carpet?\". The carpet literally became their favorite place in our classroom to do anything, which tells me that the carpet is their safe place! I love how they gravitate toward the carpet and how it has formed friendships and bridged their home and classroom lives, which was my goal when I created this project. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for this amazing gift that has formed friendships.","fullyFundedDate":1758202718986,"projectUrl":"project/a-carpet-for-whole-group-learning/9623364/","projectTitle":"A Carpet for Whole Group Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Small","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4516039_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y56&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1559279164790","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4516039"},{"teacherId":9703316,"projectId":9373885,"letterContent":"The materials we received from DonorsChoose have had an incredible impact on our students' well-being and learning experience. High-protein snacks have been a game-changer, helping students regulate their moods and fuel their focus throughout the day. When students feel nourished, they are better able to engage in learning and therapeutic activities, which is essential for their growth and success.\r\nThe sensory tools have been equally transformative. NeeDoh was an absolute hit! Along with kinetic sand, NeeDoh Mac & Cheese, and the wobbly board, these items have provided students with meaningful ways to explore and soothe their senses. Many students stand and wobble to manage anxiety while building bravery, while others rock themselves or a baby doll, creating a comforting space that fosters emotional regulation. These activities go far beyond the dollar signs—they represent moments of healing, creativity, and empowerment.\r\nFrom the deepest part of my heart, thank you for making this possible.
