They learned about motion, force, and magnets. Once we had done multiple days and lessons on motion and force we wrapped up our year building Rube Goldberg Machines and putting all that learning together to make a complex machine that performed a simple task. The students especially enjoyed this part.\r\n\r\nAs the STEM teacher I am grateful for the extra support and help with supplies and tools to teach these rural kids in a way that they would not normally get to learn. They joy of teaching STEM is that we all (me included) learn by doing and playing. I tell people that I feel like a play all day, and I love my job. Having the tools and resources needed to make STEM class as dynamic and fun as possible is part of that.
