Students also like to wipe down their Chromebooks when other students have marked on them. \r\n\r\nMicrofiber towels - I have been able to use these for wipeboard activities and when I spill my tea or coffee. \r\n\r\nLotion - Why do schools have soap and paper towels that dry out our hands? The lotion is readily available for anyone to use. \r\n\r\nIncentive pencils - These are going to be a game this week when we have our first district assessment. I am going to give one to anyone who needs/wants one. \r\n\r\nPencil top erasers - Erasers are starting to fall off, thanks to those who like to pick at them, and now we need replacement erasers. Students can return the pencil, but keep the eraser. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for the donation. This helps them to keep their math papers in one place so that they know where their materials are. It has been a game-changer when they need to keep something from the day(s) before and can get it out quickly. \r\n\r\nSecondly, the hanging file folders help me to keep things organized. I have 3 classes (I see them twice each day, so a total of 6 classes), and they are colored coded. My students know if they are red, blue, or green. My students come from a poor, hard working community where many are learning English. The ability to listen to phonetically based words while learning to read has really improved their ability to communicate and learn. Since there are many students at reading, speaking and writing at levels that range from pre K to 7th grade, it is immensely helpful for students to have headphones so they aren't distracted by others lessons.\r\nWe use a program called I-ready that customizes their lessons. They read at least 20 minutes a day on this program, before we switch to 6th grade level reading. Even when we switch to grade level reading, students who can't read at that level can listen to the story while watching the highlighted words.\r\nFinally, I can customize other learning opportunities based on students need using programs like Screencastify, so students can rewatch my lessons to help learn a concept or Edupuzzle to solidify and enhance my lessons.\r\nIn addition, I have a box of pencils so that students can continue working without having a lack of pencils or something to write with, stop them.\r\nThank you for helping provide this for my students!","fullyFundedDate":1725338124748,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-reading/8709239/","projectTitle":"Headphones for Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gilardino","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9710370_orig.jpg?crop=633,633,x212,y158&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740188156884","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9710370"},{"teacherId":9241029,"projectId":8764520,"letterContent":"Oh my goodness!!
