As a Title I school, many of my students face economic challenges, yet they show up each day with creativity, humor, and resilience. Your generosity sends a powerful message to them: their hard work matters, and people beyond our classroom care about their growth.\r\n\r\nThe treats you helped provide will serve as meaningful tools for positive reinforcement—celebrating participation, academic effort, kindness, and progress. Even something as small as a piece of candy can spark motivation and pride. For many of my students, school is their primary source of encouragement and recognition, and your donation helps us create a classroom culture where effort is noticed and celebrated.\r\n\r\nI am especially excited to incorporate authentic Mexican candies like tamarindo, mazapán, and Pulparindo into our lessons. These treats will do more than reward students—they will deepen cultural connections and bring our Spanish curriculum to life. Students will explore vocabulary, traditions, and flavors from the Spanish-speaking world in a way that is hands-on, memorable, and delicious!\r\n\r\nBecause of you, every sweet reward will represent a moment of success, growth, and cultural discovery. You have helped make learning truly dulce for my students.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire classroom, thank you for your generosity, kindness, and support.","fullyFundedDate":1769177299008,"projectUrl":"project/sweet-success-positive-reinforcement-/9864720/","projectTitle":"Sweet Success: Positive Reinforcement & Cultural Connection in Spanish Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wagner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9242848_orig.png?crop=1080,1080,x0,y136&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749062821478","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9242848"},{"teacherId":9242848,"projectId":9396499,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and for making my DonorsChoose project possible. Because of you, my classroom now has several individual student desks with foldable tabletops—and they have made an immediate and meaningful difference for my students.\r\n\r\nWith my limited classroom space, these desks have been incredibly helpful. Their flexible design allows students to sit comfortably without feeling cramped, which has helped my room feel calmer, more organized, and easier to move around in.\r\n\r\nBeyond the practical benefits, my students truly love these desks. Several of them regularly ask to use these seats by choice because they find them more comfortable and easier to work at. When students feel physically comfortable, they are more focused, more engaged, and more willing to participate—and I've already seen that happening in my classroom.\r\n\r\nYour support has created a learning environment that is more flexible, more welcoming, and better suited to meet the needs of every learner. As they worked through each page—writing, revising, illustrating, and ultimately seeing their ideas come to life—they began to view themselves not just as language learners, but as true authors. This project helped them grow in confidence, strengthen their vocabulary, and express their thoughts in English in a meaningful, personal way. \r\n\r\nThe book project also brought our classroom community closer together. Students collaborated, encouraged one another, and celebrated each other's progress, building communication skills. Many of my students are developing their reading skills, and the visual support of graphic novels has helped them build confidence, increase comprehension, and discover the joy of reading. We incorporated music, we played a ton, it helped amplify my teacher voice with the mic connected, and it really made a huge difference.
