They also have to push themselves in new ways. Some kids pick the same activity day after day, others bounce between bins. The new resources from this project have created meaningful learning opportunities and supported my students' growth in incredible ways.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the materials daily to strengthen both learning and self-regulation. One special moment that stands out was when a few students worked together during our morning meeting, using our new visual aids and sensory tools to talk about their emotions and calm their bodies. It was amazing to see them practice the skills we've been learning—taking deep breaths, identifying their feelings, and supporting each other with kindness.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement in the room was contagious! My students were full of curiosity and couldn't wait to explore everything. They loved touching, organizing, and testing out the new tools—especially the items that help them relax and focus. It truly felt like a celebration of new possibilities for learning and growing together.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building on these skills through small group lessons and hands-on activities that promote emotional awareness, problem-solving, and collaboration. We'll be using the resources throughout the year to help students recognize emotions, manage frustration, and practice empathy in real-life classroom situations.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made such a difference—not only in helping my students learn, but also in helping them feel safe, calm, and confident. They will gain access to new characters and settings along with a variety of nonfiction texts to allow them to learn new things too.\r\n\r\nThis is year two of me working on building my little classroom library and the students were definitely appreciative of having new books! They LOVE conducting experiments and exploring about new topics in science. Our first investigation involved using flashlights to learn about how the sun's light helps us to see during the day but when we are turned away from the sun, it becomes night. Having the extra flashlights that were donated SAVED my day! The kit only came with 6 flashlights and it's really hard to have students learn, in a short amount of time, when they have to share with 4-5 others students. This time they were able to work in partners to investigate day and night and really got to enjoy the experience!\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous donation of all the science kit materials. We have been able to discover magnets in science, word work games for learning to read, and fun and engaging math games that allow us to use our creativity during our math centers. Our class has become a fun and engaging place for us to learn because of your generosity and donation.
