The folders, clipboards, storage bins, and laminating supplies are helping us stay organized and making it easier for students to take ownership of their learning. We are using the folders to keep science activities and projects organized, clipboards for hands-on work around the classroom, and the storage bins to create accessible spaces for our STEM materials and classroom supplies. Having these resources means students can spend less time worrying about where their materials are and more time investigating, creating, collaborating, and asking questions.\r\n\r\nAnd then there are the snacks—which have been an absolute hit! Having a variety of snacks available helps make our classroom a place where students feel cared for and supported, especially during long school days. My students were thrilled when they saw the snack supplies arrive, and there was definitely some excitement over getting to choose a favorite. Those small moments matter. They help build the sense of community I want in my classroom and remind my students that their well-being is just as important as their academic success.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, my students will continue using these resources during hands-on science investigations, STEM challenges, collaborative projects, and everyday classroom learning. Similar to teaching, sometimes the flashier things get more praise, but ultimately, the access to glue sticks, pencils (which we always seem to run out of), paper, and other classroom basics are what carry our lessons to their goal. I am sincerely appreciative of your donations which allow me to cultivate a classroom of care, where if a student asks me, \"Do you have...\" I am able to say, \"Yes!\" I have always tried to provide the necessary materials for our students, but with your support, I am able to give even more. \r\n\r\nStudents are able to see themselves reflected in their future goals with the vision board and art supplies. In addition, thanks to a donation of magazines from the Friends of Oakland Library's Bookmark Bookstore, where I have volunteered in the past, students have made truly beautiful vision boards that reflect their diverse, full, and joyful dreams and goals.
