The micro:bits have made a tremendous impact on our robotics program, giving students hands-on experience with programming through their intuitive block-based coding platform. Students have learned a variety of programming techniques and gained a deeper understanding of how computers work and process information thanks to the micro:bits' user-friendly design.\r\n\r\nWith the donated sensors and micro:bits, students have expanded their understanding of the real-world applications of computing. The robot parts you provided also helped connect the micro:bits directly to our robotics curriculum, strengthening the bridge between coding and mechanical design.\r\n\r\nUsing these tools, students created projects such as LED displays paired with sound, and even programmed a Christmas song synchronized with lights. Your generosity has truly broadened their horizons and enriched their learning experience. This 3D printer enables my students to transition from passive learning to active learning. Students created parts for the rover needed for robotics. Students' projects that utilize this technology encourage collaboration, as they require students to work in groups to tackle challenges and share resources. They also use it for an engineering design challenge that requires knowledge of science and math while fostering technological literacy. My students participated in a summer engineering camp.
