We read the first 10 pages together and I can tell they are hooked. That kind of moment is awesome in a lit class and you helped make that happen.\r\n\r\nWe'll be diving into Vonnegut's novel during the next few weeks, using it to explore everything from nonlinear narrative structure to existentialism to the absurdity of war. \r\n\r\nIt's a book that invites students to think deeply and (i hope) to write boldly, and I can't wait to see what they do with it. Having a copy for every student allows us to work together—annotating, analyzing, and arguing our way through the story as a unified group.
