Your donations made it possible for us to bring authentic, hands-on learning experiences into our students' classrooms and to our community events.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contributions, students created Inuit-inspired snow goggles, listened to Pacific Northwest stories of the trickster Raven, and crafted their own flying ravens. They learned about the Native Youth Olympics, tried the Blanket Toss, and practiced perfecting the rhythm of Alaskan yo-yos. At our Native Heritage Month Gathering, students made beautiful clay prints using fresh cedar, explored the importance of salmon, and even created fish prints using real fish!\r\n\r\nAnd we're not done yet—many more lessons are planned for later this school year. We look forward to watching our students continue to learn, explore, and deepen their connection to their cultural heritage through these rich experiences.\r\n\r\nYour generosity directly supports our American Indian and Alaska Native students in Ventura County by providing them with opportunities to see themselves reflected in their learning and to feel valued within their school community. Families share how meaningful it is to know that their children's heritage is honored and uplifted.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping bring this year's curriculum to life.
