Two students have benefited from your giving the most. They both have sensory issues and the materials you purchased they use every day. These hands on materials are put in a basket for them, and they can choose what will help them the most. I have seen a great improvement in both of my students in their ability to stay more focus and calm during class.\r\n\r\nI have used the \"Little Spot of Emotion\" book with all my Transitional Kindergarten students. The book is really good in explaining how we all have different feelings and how this is ok. It also discusses how when we recognize our feelings it will help us know what we can do to keep in a comfortable zone. Children at 4 - 5 years old really need to be taught skills to cope with how they are feeling and this book kit really does a good job in helping students understand emotions well.\r\n\r\nOne of the items that came for us was stickers that had texture and now many of the children have these on their desks to help them calm down while doing desk work.
