With your donation, we received a color printer, a $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, and three amazing Earth Science kits focusing on plants, rocks and soil, and the properties of the Earth. These resources have already made a noticeable difference in how my students engage with science, especially those who learn best through hands-on, visual, or interactive activities.\r\n\r\nThe new printer has been a huge game changer. I've been able to print vibrant visual aids, differentiated worksheets, and interactive activities from Teachers Pay Teachers that truly meet my students' learning needs. For many of my students with learning disabilities, access to colorful, clear visuals and accessible text is the key to understanding complex topics. Having a reliable printer in the classroom allows me to respond quickly to their needs, whether it's printing picture-supported vocabulary cards or custom graphic organizers that support comprehension.\r\n\r\nThe science kits from Lakeshore have been the highlight of our lessons. Students were especially excited to get their hands on real materials, sorting different types of rocks, exploring soil textures, and building a deeper understanding of how plants grow. These kits turn abstract science concepts into something tangible and fun. \r\n\r\nThanks to your support, science has become not only more accessible, but something my students now look forward to. You've helped spark curiosity, build confidence, and make learning feel exciting and meaningful. The new round tables have made a big difference—especially for my students in wheelchairs. The tables support easier transitioning between stations, allowing all students to complete assignments more comfortably and independently.\r\n\r\nBefore, I could only fit 2–3 students at a station. Now, I can accommodate 5–6 students per table, which has made group work much more effective. The students' reactions were priceless—they absolutely loved the new desks. On Fun Fridays, they can now gather around the table to play games like Uno without the limitations of inaccessible furniture.\r\n\r\nMy next steps with our classroom project involve having students work collaboratively on team-based activities using poster paper and manipulatives. In the past, they had to work on the floor or push individual desks together, which wasn't always ideal. Now, thanks to the new tables, they can collaborate more efficiently and comfortably—turning every project into a more inclusive and engaging experience.\r\n\r\nThank you again to everyone who donated to my classroom project----we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1746594293705,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-flexible-learning-space-for-m/9309221/","projectTitle":"Creating a Flexible Learning Space for My Special Ed Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Broas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10011350_orig.jpg?crop=975,975,x144,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746473323831","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10011350"},{"teacherId":9843256,"projectId":8954855,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom sensory room. On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation to our classroom through DonorsChoose.org. Your contribution of the sensory floor mat and sensory boards has made a world of difference in the lives of my students.\r\n\r\nThe addition of these materials has created a calm, supportive space in our classroom that allows students to explore sensory experiences in a safe and engaging way. For students in our mod/severe classroom, sensory integration is crucial in helping them regulate emotions and engage more effectively with learning. Thanks to your kindness, we are now able to offer these essential tools, and the positive impact has already been evident.\r\n\r\nI have seen firsthand how the sensory floor mat helps students find comfort during moments of overwhelm and how the sensory boards encourage exploration and focus. These materials are not just classroom supplies; they are important tools that foster emotional well-being and provide our students with a better learning environment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity truly uplifts our classroom community, and I am deeply grateful for your support. It's not just the materials you've donated that matter, but also the encouragement and belief in our students' potential that your donation represents.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making a meaningful difference in our classroom.
