Your support has made it possible for every student to fully participate in our reading lessons, and it has brought an incredible level of excitement and engagement to our classroom. Because many of you love reading yourselves, we want to share a bit about how these books help us grow as readers. Holes has given students the chance to practice making inferences, tracking multiple storylines, and identifying deeper themes, while Hatchet will help us explore visualization, character development, and problem-solving in survival situations. These books are not only fun to read—they are powerful tools for building strong literacy skills.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an active and collaborative process. Students read together, discuss key ideas in partners and small groups, and keep journals where they record predictions, questions, and connections. We pause often to analyze important passages, annotate, and gather evidence to support our thinking. Thanks to your donation, every student has their own book to mark, explore, and return to, which has boosted confidence and participation for all readers.\r\n\r\nWe are proud to share that we will be finishing Holes by this Friday, just in time for Thanksgiving break. Several students who are typically more hesitant readers have become some of our most enthusiastic voices during discussions—they've been drawn in by the mystery and humor of the story. Others are already buzzing with excitement for Hatchet, especially those who love the outdoors or survival adventures. Your generosity has truly opened doors for these students, helping them discover joy in reading and feel part of a shared learning journey. Thank you again for making such a meaningful impact on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755737864856,"projectUrl":"project/class-set-scavenger-novel-study/9449765/","projectTitle":"Class Set Scavenger! These items have made a significant impact on our classroom, especially as we integrate more technology into our daily learning. The headphones and earbuds have allowed students to fully engage with digital lessons, language learning apps, and online assessments without distraction. The privacy screens have helped create a more focused and respectful testing environment, promoting academic integrity and helping students concentrate more effectively.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is having their own personal tools to enhance their learning experience. They love the comfort and sound quality of the headphones, which make their interactive lessons more immersive. The earbuds are especially popular for individual reading programs and quieter, independent activities—giving them a sense of autonomy and ownership. The privacy screens are a favorite during tests and writing sessions, as students feel more confident and less self-conscious.
