Our sand table has also benefited their cooperative play skills like turn-taking and problem solving.\r\n\r\nThe students are excited every time we pull out the plus-plus blocks because they enjoy building numbers, letters, and growing their creativity by making other creations. The plus-plus blocks help to strengthen their fine motor skills needed for writing and support their spatial awareness development as well. We have used the plus-plus blocks for a variety of math centers such as patterning, counting, building shapes, and mathematical operations.\r\n\r\nThe kinetic sand has been a wonderful addition to our classroom as well, it is a fan favorite during free choice time. It has also proven to be a powerful tool for self-regulation because it provides a calming, repetitive sensory input. The students enjoy using the kinetic sand for open-ended exploration that enhances their imagination and creativity.
