When the new basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and volleyballs arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students eagerly opened the boxes and couldn't wait to get outside to play. Within minutes, teams formed, games began, and laughter filled the yard. It was incredible to see students of all grade levels joining in together, cheering each other on, and showing great sportsmanship.\r\n\r\nWe now use the equipment every day during recess, PE, and our iSCOPE character-building program. These active breaks have made a noticeable difference in the classroom—students come back from the yard more focused, calm, and ready to learn. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students who rarely participated before confidently lead a volleyball game, showing teamwork and leadership that carried into their academic work later that day.\r\n\r\nYour support has created so much more than playtime—you've helped strengthen our school community, foster healthy habits, and promote the connection between active bodies and focused minds. Each ball you helped provide has become a tool for teamwork, confidence, and joy. Each month, as we introduce a new iSCOPE character trait — such as Integrity, Self-Control, Curiosity, Optimism, Perseverance, and Empathy — students are now able to connect the lessons to a hands-on activity through the healthy snacks you helped provide.\r\n\r\nFor example, during our Perseverance unit, students received snack packs with motivational messages that reminded them to \"keep going.\" It was incredible to see how something as simple as a snack paired with a positive message could open conversations about grit and determination. One student commented, \"This made me feel like I can get through hard assignments — and the snack helped me stay focused, too.\"\r\n\r\nThe snacks have also reduced stress for students who sometimes come to school hungry, ensuring they can stay engaged and ready to learn. Teachers have noticed that students are more attentive and participate more fully during our iSCOPE discussions.
