During our daily rotations, students use the LEGO Education kits and sensory bins to explore early math, science, language arts, and engineering concepts. One special moment was watching small groups work together to build and rebuild structures, take turns sharing pieces, and talk through their ideas. These activities help my TK students practice problem-solving, communication, and cooperation while learning through play.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were filled with excitement and curiosity. Many immediately asked when it would be their turn to explore them. Even students who are still developing confidence were eager to participate, touch the materials, and collaborate with their classmates. The hands-on nature of these resources helped every child feel successful and included.\r\n\r\nMy scholars will continue using these materials during rotations to support early literacy, vocabulary, and social-emotional learning. As they build, explore, and play together, they will practice describing their work, listening to others, and reflecting on what they learned. Because of your generosity, my youngest learners are growing into confident, curious collaborators, and we are so thankful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1758993006401,"projectUrl":"project/tiny-steam-explorers-in-the-making/9745815/","projectTitle":"Tiny STEAM Explorers in the Making","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2071801_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1460820012275","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-martinezscholars"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93116","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":920,"numTeachers":41,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":90,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"22.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.6,"schoolId":93116,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Santiago Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Santiago Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/santa-ana-unified-school-district/santiago-elementary-school/93116"}
