During therapy sessions, students search for hidden question cards or objects that directly target their individual speech and language goals. This will make their lessons fun and meaningful.\r\n\r\nAs a speech therapist, I work with students who have a wide range of needs. Many of them learn best when they can move, explore, and use their hands. This sensory table is a fun and active alternative to sitting at a therapy table and will help my students stay motivated, focused, and excited about participating in therapy.\r\n\r\nThese materials will be used for many years and will benefit countless students as they work toward their communication goals. Thank you for investing in my students and helping create a learning environment that is both effective and fun.","fullyFundedDate":1767710653869,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-table-for-special-needs-students/9698395/","projectTitle":"Sensory Table for Special Needs Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bordzilovski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10214389"},{"teacherId":10214389,"projectId":9639180,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support by funding my \"Flexible Seating\" project through DonorsChoose. Your donation of window seat cushions has truly improved my speech therapy classroom by giving more seating options for my students. Having flexible seating allows my students to feel more comfortable and engaged, which is so important for their participation in speech and language activities.\r\n\r\nThe new window seating area has quickly become a favorite spot in my room. My students are excited to use it during their speech therapy sessions, and it is often the first place they go when they walk into my room. Their view of our school playground gives them opportunities to work on their functional language skills, and natural opportunities for them to observe, describe, and discuss what they see outside. This has increased their spontaneous conversations in therapy.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a direct and lasting impact on my students. They were absolutely thrilled when they saw the new cushions, and their excitement continues each day they use them. They always bust in my room and run straight to the window cushions, haha!
