Your contribution is already making an incredible difference, and we are so grateful for your support.\r\n\r\nYou may not know it, but your gift does more than just fill our shelves with beautiful new texts—it helps cultivate the skills and lessons our students need to become well-rounded, creative individuals. Through these books, we are able to introduce young minds to not only the art of music but also the foundations of rhythm, storytelling, and cultural exploration. Each book plays an important role in weaving a rich, multisensory learning experience that nurtures both musicality and literacy.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is much more than just a quiet activity. It's an interactive, collaborative experience that blends the power of words with the rhythm of sound. We read together, act out scenes, and even create our own songs based on stories we've read. These activities allow students to engage their imaginations and understand music through a variety of lenses. It's truly magical to see how a good book can spark inspiration in our lessons.\r\n\r\nSome of our students have absolutely fallen in love with the new texts. For example, Pete the Cat has been a huge hit with the Sped class, who has been using the book's rhythm-based structure to enhance their own musical compositions. We've seen a noticeable increase in their confidence and creativity—something that would not have been possible without your support. Other students have shown a deep connection to the cultural stories in the books, using the narratives to inspire their own musical interpretations and performances.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, the possibilities are endless, and the students are thriving. Your generosity has directly contributed to an environment where learning is exciting, dynamic, and ever-growing.\r\n\r\nWe are so appreciative of your kindness and commitment to helping us make learning more enriching and fun for every student in our class.","fullyFundedDate":1746787067836,"projectUrl":"project/reading-about-music/9241396/","projectTitle":"Reading About Music","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3183835_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1469071807077","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3183835"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56408","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":386,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.3,"schoolId":56408,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Carver Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Carver Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/santa-ana-unified-school-district/carver-elementary-school/56408"}
