My engineering students were immediately engaged by the opportunity to assemble and explore this advanced piece of technology. The process of setting up the printer gave them hands-on experience with real-world engineering concepts such as calibration, mechanics, and troubleshooting. As they began their first test prints, students were able to directly see the impact of CAD design on tangible products, reinforcing classroom lessons in a meaningful and exciting way.\r\n\r\nWhat truly excites the students about this printer is the ability to produce multi-color prints with such precision and speed. They're not only exploring aesthetic design but also learning how different colors can be used for labeling parts, demonstrating motion, or distinguishing components in a complex model. Several students who were previously unsure about pursuing STEM fields have become especially enthusiastic. One student, who had never worked with a 3D printer before, has taken the lead in organizing print jobs and now stays after class to experiment with design improvements. It's inspiring to see how this technology has sparked creativity, confidence, and collaboration in so many of our young learners.","fullyFundedDate":1739366813417,"projectUrl":"project/make-imagination-become-reality/8962392/","projectTitle":"Make Imagination Become Reality!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8725939_orig.jpg?crop=2544,2544,x0,y695&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697577618006","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8725939"},{"teacherId":9935237,"projectId":9141424,"letterContent":"On behalf of the Sanger West Track & Field team, we sincerely thank you for your generous support. Thanks to your support, my students have had the incredible opportunity to explore the art of miniature painting—an exciting and rewarding experience that has brought both creativity and motivation into our learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the paints, their reactions were priceless. Many of them lit up with excitement, eagerly picking out colors and discussing the miniatures they wanted to bring to life. For some, it was their first time working with paints in such a detailed way, and they couldn't wait to get started.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the paints as a way to encourage students to stay engaged and excel in class. One of the most memorable moments was when a student who had been struggling to stay motivated found a new passion in painting. Seeing their confidence grow with each brushstroke was a powerful reminder of how meaningful hands-on creative experiences can be.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students are working on refining their painting techniques, learning about color theory, shading, and fine detail work. Many are eager to apply their skills to even more intricate miniatures, and some are already discussing ideas for custom designs. Your donation has not only provided them with materials but has also given them a new form of self-expression and a reason to push themselves academically.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a difference in our classroom. Your generosity has helped create an engaging and inspiring space for my students, and we are incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1731940490862,"projectUrl":"project/motivate-learning-by-learning-to-paint/8890116/","projectTitle":"Motivate Learning by Learning to Paint.","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8725939_orig.jpg?crop=2544,2544,x0,y695&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697577618006","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8725939"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_130756","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1386,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":68,"percentAsian":26,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.3,"schoolId":130756,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sanger West High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sanger West High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/sanger-unified-school-district/sanger-west-high-school/130756"}
