These students have really benefited from using the many tools that you supported us with through your generous donations! Many of these students have some big emotions and need to have a place to go to de-escalate and regulate their small bodies. My room became a sensory room for these students and it was amazing to see how fast they would regulate themselves just through using some of the tools. They love using all the fidgets and especially love the magnetic blocks!\r\nThe two small trampolines were a big hit! Each time students would meet with me, I would first have them bounce on the trampoline. We would count together and then they would switch to the other trampoline and we would count again. This was a great way to get their \"wigglies\" out!! The swings have not been used yet as we have been waiting to find out where the sensory room will be located for the new school year. Once we have that finalized, the swings will be put in and will be immensely enjoyed by many!","fullyFundedDate":1733239687136,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-a-regulation-room-at-an-early/8924354/","projectTitle":"Tools for a Regulation Room at an Early Learning Center","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Woodbury","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9368370_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733272837397","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9368370"},{"teacherId":9368370,"projectId":8994175,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for your gracious contributions of games to our school! We now have a very hearty supply of board games and puzzles that will provide hours of not only entertainment, but skills as well. Students are playing games that support them in many ways: they are making connections with one another, they are using problem solving skills, and they are having fun and letting off some stress. \r\n\r\nMany of our students have not been provided opportunities to play certain games and learn valuable life skills such as taking turns, sharing, and problem solving. Moreover, they may have had language be a barrier in making connections with others. These games and puzzles support them with all of this and for that I am so very thankful. \r\n\r\nWe have, and will continue to, promote a campus that is based on the following expectations: making good decisions, show respect, and solve problems.
