Because of you, our students are using resources that support their academic learning and social-emotional development.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the headphones during math, phonics, and science. Students are able to stay focused and work at their own pace without distractions. One special moment that stands out was watching students get to engage with science in a new self-paced way. Their facial expressions as they moved through the lesson were a joy to watch. The self-guided lessons give students agency and a sense of ownership over their learning. Students are doing this while I pull small reading groups to support my students who are working to be at grade level. \r\n\r\nWhen the play dough and puzzles were introduced, the excitement was immediate. Students' eyes lit up, and they couldn't wait to get started. The play dough has become an important part of our social-emotional learning time, helping students express feelings, practice calming strategies, and build fine motor skills. The puzzles have been a favorite during our morning transition time. Students work together and celebrate together when they complete a puzzle. Seeing how they include each other has made me proud. It has been wonderful to see friendships strengthen as students problem-solve side by side.\r\n\r\nWe hope you know how deeply grateful we are. Your kindness is helping our students feel supported and excited to learn every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1760719799724,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials-for-a-1st-year-teac/9751066/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials for a 1st Year Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Price","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10113821_orig.jpg?crop=2070,2070,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758595517134","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10113821"},{"teacherId":7396582,"projectId":9771376,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations! Your support has had a positive and immediate impact on the classrooms at Park.\r\nFor many of our students—especially those who become easily overstimulated—it can be difficult to focus and feel comfortable in a busy classroom environment. In the past, it was not always possible to provide headphones to students who needed them most. Thanks to your generosity, each classroom teacher now has access to headphones, allowing some students to have their own while others are able to share them as needed. When my students found out that people donated money, so we could get headphones, they were beyond excited. They felt so grateful to have your support. My students love their headphones, and take great care of them. We have been able to use them for the online portion of our math curriculum and some additional literacy curriculum. They have made such a huge difference in their learning. Thank you also for the colored painters tape. Because of this, I have been able to organize our Chromebook Cart, and the students have a much easier time finding their slot and charger.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, thank you for the Play-Doh! The day before our fall break I surprised them with the Play-Doh for morning work and they were so happy that we extended their morning work time to twenty minutes!
