My students are loving the new iPad. It has allowed us to truly enhance our circle time and music activities. We use songs and videos for engagement, vocabulary, new situations and fun! \r\n\r\nDuring the month of October I was able to introduce my students to fun and educational concepts like Halloween. They learned about ghosts, mummies, scarecrows, monsters, spiders, and black cats. They learned about how to trick or treat. And best of all, it helped them overcome very real fears of things they see naturally in their environment that time of year. Many joined friends and family to trick or treat for the very first time.\r\n\r\nWe also use the iPad for things like fire drills and the Halloween parade at school. They are visually stimulated and the videos and pictures we show them help them to understand what is expected and why we need to do community type of activities. I can't tell you in words how much your donations are appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1755728336087,"projectUrl":"project/educational-fun/9476543/","projectTitle":"Educational Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. H.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3089532_orig.jpg?crop=1706,1706,x0,y362&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752794810315","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/katie-handelman"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4618","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":679,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":12,"percentAsian":56,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"19.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.9,"schoolId":4618,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Foster City Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Foster City Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-mateo-foster-city-sch-dist/foster-city-elementary-school/4618"}
