With our yard currently closed and students required to remain indoors during lunch recess, many students have felt the impact of having fewer opportunities to move and socialize.\r\n\r\nThe board games, crafts, and other activities available in the library have given students a positive and welcoming space to relax, connect with peers, and take a much-needed mental break from academic work. Your donation gave students access to books they could read with confidence, allowing them to fully participate in small reading groups and feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. These groups created space for meaningful conversations where students listened to one another, asked questions, and built understanding together.\r\n Through these novels, students were able to make personal and real-world connections to the themes and events in the stories, linking what they read to what is happening in the world around them. This made the learning experience more relevant and engaging, and helped students see reading as a way to better understand themselves and others. Most importantly, having these books in their hands increased student motivation, strengthened reading skills, and supported a more inclusive classroom where all students could experience success as readers.","fullyFundedDate":1761669344679,"projectUrl":"project/a-novel-study-for-emergent-bilingual-rea/9843942/","projectTitle":"A Novel Study for Emergent Bilingual Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alvarado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4543979_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1500096467161","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4543979"},{"teacherId":1040924,"projectId":9623391,"letterContent":"I want to thank you again for bringing my students comfort. So far, at least 10 of my students have used the heating pads and they have kept my students in the classroom. Normally, they would have left my room to go to wellness and then they would have missed class. Wellness is not open as much as it used to be because of the lack of a school nurse, so now they can use the heating pads in class and not miss any instruction.\r\nThe ice packs have been so amazing. I have had students come to my class after PE or lunch with bumps, sprains, and finger jams and the ice packs are awesome. I am one of the only places in the school who will give out ice packs. They are also incredibly helpful when my students have a headache. \r\nThe chairs have been the biggest hit - sometimes they fight over the chairs. They are great for chromebook work, having a place to chill, or alternative seating when the regular chairs do not feel comfortable for the students.\r\nThanks so much again.\r\nThese items have really made a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1755745106510,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-comfort-to-my-students/9623391/","projectTitle":"Bringing Comfort to My Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lauren","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1040924_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y254&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565568411589","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1040924"},{"teacherId":9280199,"projectId":8830098,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our Asian Student Union (ASU)!
