The iPad that was purchased for our classroom has helped student achieve and meet standards in their math goals. We are gravitating toward creating math stories and building our classroom library with student lead and read mini books. I am so grateful for all your help and support. \r\n\r\nThe highlight of some students are transitioning over to the iPad center because they get to use their imagination to create their own stories and drawings. They get to use technology to build friendships through shared games and get support when math problems get hard. One of the math games allows students to create their own characters and with solving more math problems they get items to decorate. With the additional iPad students are able to keep their progress and return back to play. The older iPads don't have a lot of storage so with the new iPad we are able to keep more pictures and stories they have created. \r\n\r\nThe new iPad has been the hot topic of the classroom, it has motivated students to focus more on task so they can be the first one to get a chance to play on the new device. Students have also came to school earlier so they can get a few more minutes on the iPad before our class starts. It has helped some shy students in my class make new friends too. Having this new device I have paired two students that would normally not play together and give them a task to do together. They would take turns and talk to each other to solve problems as a team. \r\n\r\nOne of my very emotional student has gravitated toward this new technology because she has found high interest in advancing her skills in sight words and reading. The device has helped push students into reading rhyming words and listening to stories at a different level. \r\n\r\nWith our new camera in class, I am able to capture more moments of them playing and exploring. They have found taking pictures to be delightful and have started to ask me to take more pictures to share with his or her family. I have been able to compile their hard work in class and showcase them in our newsletters and reels.","fullyFundedDate":1759005733822,"projectUrl":"project/capturing-little-learners/9597909/","projectTitle":"Capturing Little Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mac","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1713952_orig.jpg?crop=1046,1046,x273,y6&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757231786115","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-mac109"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_103793","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":44,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":68,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":96.7,"schoolId":103793,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Noriega Early Education School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Noriega Early Education School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-francisco-unified-school-district/noriega-child-development-center-preschool-sfusd/103793"}
