My students love listening to stories about worms, soil, and the way food scraps can become something new. During read-alouds, they point to the pictures, make connections to foods they know, and ask thoughtful questions about what happens \"underground.\"\r\n\r\nWhile our composting bins are waiting for their big debut, the books have already helped us build background knowledge and spark conversations about caring for the earth. One student proudly told me, \"Banana peels help the dirt!\" after we read a story together.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to use the bins alongside the books, so students can see the real-life process they've been reading about. Thank you for giving us resources that inspire curiosity and set the stage for hands-on science learning.
