Since teaching has shifted from teacher lead to student lead this document camera will continue to impact students acquisition of educational content for years to come.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift so far is the students feel it's vital to have this document camera to share their work with their classmates. Also, they feel the teacher (me) needs to share educational information to learn multiple subjects (language arts, math, social studies, science and even PE). Technology has come so far and with digital learning (visual and auditory) taking place everyday it's important to have the right tool to help foster developmental academic connection. \r\n\r\nIt's extremely exciting for my student to use the document camera to demonstrate their learning. Beside teaching their peers they are also learning public speaking skills, as well as how to present and show evidence of the knowledge they have acquired.\r\n\r\nAll my students have benefited from using this technology. With that being said, you can look forward to skilled professionals and professors in our not so distant future.","fullyFundedDate":1752102624733,"projectUrl":"project/future-professionals-and-professors-need/9430800/","projectTitle":"Future Professionals and Professors Need A Projector","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ferraz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp106953_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1687634078723","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-ferraz"},{"teacherId":227031,"projectId":8805457,"letterContent":"I am incredibly grateful to our generous DonorsChoose supporters for providing our classroom with headphones equipped with microphones. Your thoughtful contributions have made a significant impact on our learning environment, allowing us to enhance our students' educational experience in ways that truly matter. The headphones are an essential tool for our reading app, which helps students build their literacy skills at their own pace, offering personalized instruction and fostering a love for reading. With this technology, students can fully immerse themselves in their lessons without distractions, ensuring they get the most out of every session.\r\n\r\nBeyond the reading app, these headphones have transformed how I approach small group instruction. The built-in microphones allow for seamless communication during collaborative activities and ensure that every student's voice is heard during interactive lessons. This has been especially helpful in supporting differentiated learning, enabling us to meet the unique needs of each student more effectively. Thanks to your kindness, our classroom is now equipped to provide a richer, more engaging learning experience, and for that, we are truly thankful!","fullyFundedDate":1727048356744,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-with-microphones-for-reading/8805457/","projectTitle":"Headphones with Microphones for Reading Fluency!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tenney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp227031_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1473535347738","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/sheilatenney"},{"teacherId":8688486,"projectId":8669692,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students now have access to the resources and tools that are making a real difference in their social-emotional growth and overall well-being. The SEL picture books and conversation cards have sparked meaningful discussions about emotions, empathy, and kindness. During one of our sessions, a group of students shared their personal stories while reading a book about perseverance, and it led to a moment of profound connection where they supported one another with kindness and understanding. These materials have become an integral part of our daily routines, allowing students to feel seen, heard, and valued.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating options have transformed our wellness center into an inviting and inclusive space. Students eagerly explored the wobble chairs and stools, excited to find a setup that worked best for their needs. For one student who often struggled with focus, having the freedom to sit on a wobble chair made it easier for them to participate in activities and stay engaged. The cabinet has kept everything organized, ensuring students can independently access the tools they need to thrive.\r\n\r\nThis project has helped me create a nurturing environment where students feel safe to explore their emotions and build the resilience needed to navigate challenges. The wellness center has become a hub for fostering positive relationships and empowering students to take charge of their emotional well-being, setting them up for success in school and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1727968829150,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-calm-and-caring-space/8669692/","projectTitle":"Creating a Calm and Caring Space","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jabril","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8688486_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y336&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1662681189494","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8688486"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_4427","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":321,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":49,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"21.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.6,"schoolId":4427,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Glen Park Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Glen Park Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-francisco-unified-school-district/glen-park-elementary-school/4427"}
