Your kindness has made a profound impact on our mindfulness practice, creating a space where students can feel grounded, supported, and empowered.\r\n\r\nThe yoga mats have become an essential tool in our small group sessions, where students explore emotional regulation, learn about the parts of their brain that help them manage stress, and practice meditative techniques to navigate anxiety and trauma. These moments of mindfulness provide them with skills that extend far beyond our sessions—helping them find calm and resilience in their everyday lives.\r\n\r\nIt has been truly inspiring to see the joy and comfort these mats bring to our students. From guided breathing exercises to mindful movement, they have embraced the practice with enthusiasm, knowing they have a safe and welcoming space to connect with themselves. This would not have been possible without your generosity.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in the well-being of our students. Your support is making a lasting difference, and we are deeply appreciative.","fullyFundedDate":1726674262492,"projectUrl":"project/mats-for-mental-health/8715678/","projectTitle":"Mats for Mental Health","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Freeborn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9480111_orig.jpg?crop=395,395,x15,y87&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724868557451","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/freeborn"},{"teacherId":9828720,"projectId":8924749,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for your support. You have helped make math visible, fun, and engaging for my transitional kindergarten students. I loved seeing the light bulb turn on in their mind because they understood how to represent a number from 1-10 with dots. It was cute to see how the students thought they were at play, when they were learning math. \r\n\r\nDuring one math activity, the students would roll the dice and then represent the number they rolled with the magnetic counters on the magnetic ten frame. The students were active participants in their math learning journey. The learning involved using the dot to dot paints, the magnetic counters and ten frames. The dot to dot paints were also used to do a little art as part of their math worksheets and to complete math assessments. \r\n\r\nWe used the giant timer to indicate when it was time to stop our math lesson, tidy up, and place the materials and finished work in the colorful bins. It was so rewarding to see how the students were actually sad when math time came to an end. However, they soon cheered up because they got an opportunity to recharge their minds with the dinos and the magnetic dolls. They also got to take home a squishy toy for all of their hard work. You have helped my students love math! Thank you so much. I wish I had learned math like they are learning today. Their eyes are bright and full of excitement when it is time to do math, art, and recharge in the classroom. Thank you to Edison International and each and everyone who gave so generously. You all help me make a difference to my students and this means the world to me.","fullyFundedDate":1731624602698,"projectUrl":"project/math-art-and-recharge-in-the-classroom/8924749/","projectTitle":"Math, Art, and Recharge in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Sra.
