The rocking chair has been a game changer for one specific student. She requires constant movement and input. The rocking chair is meeting her need and allowing her to sit and participate for longer periods of time. It is a very proud part of our classroom, allowing our students with special needs to pick out a chair \"tool\" that will meet their needs and allow them to have fun, laugh, sing and learn. \r\n\r\nEach morning my 3 year old's with special needs get ready for circle time and bring a chair to the circle area. Now, we have a variety of chairs been used and our circle times and they are getting longer and longer and more focused on learning. \r\n\r\nWe are also witnessing some problem solving and social skills at work when students are negotiating for certain seats or taking turns. It is amazing what a difference a seat can make.
