Through this program, I learned how to integrate mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and yoga-based wellness strategies into my day with intention and purpose. I discovered how breathwork, reflection, and movement can help create a calm, focused, and connected classroom culture—one that supports the emotional well-being and growth of every child.\r\n\r\nThe highlight of this training was the sense of empowerment I felt as both an educator and a human being. It reminded me that teacher wellness is foundational to student success. One of the most enjoyable moments was experiencing how a simple breathing technique could shift my energy and the energy of a group of educators. I left feeling deeply inspired to bring that same peace and presence to my students every day.\r\n\r\nOne specific strategy I now use is a \"Mindful Minute\" before transitions or challenging lessons. Together, my students and I take a few deep breaths, stretch, and set an intention for how we want to show up or what we hope for our day. This small practice has improved focus and strengthened our classroom community. Thanks to your generous support, I am better equipped to nurture both the hearts and minds of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1733293522573,"projectUrl":"project/bring-social-emotional-learning-to-the-c/8979419/","projectTitle":"Bring Social-Emotional Learning to the Classroom Through Breathe for Change","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Frye","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5336418_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699490214807","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5336418"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32859","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":283,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":28,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"20.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.5,"schoolId":32859,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about O.W.
