The impact of the new Texas Instruments scientific calculators has been immediate and profound. Many of you use technology daily, and in our math classroom, these tools aren't just for calculation, they are instruments of exploration. By handling the computation quickly, the calculators allow our students to move beyond rote memorization. Instead, they spend their time grappling with the \"why\" exploring the logic, reasoning, and real world application of mathematical concepts. This approach is building deep conceptual understanding and confidence, empowering, them to tackle advanced problems they previously found intimidating. \r\n\r\nYour donations of composition books, glue sticks, and tape have turned passive note-taking into a dynamic, hands on learning experience. Students are actively engaging with the material by creating foldables, gluing in charts and diagrams, and designing personalized study resources. This creative, tactile approach makes learning more memorable and fun, helping abstract concepts \"stick.\" It's truly exciting to watch them build a strong, customized foundation for their academic futures, and we are deeply grateful for your investment in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1756232496234,"projectUrl":"project/building-math-minds/9635578/","projectTitle":"Building Math Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10202694_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x0,y81&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755747999088","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10202694"},{"teacherId":9075045,"projectId":9293268,"letterContent":"My students are enjoying the resources that were supplied thanks to your donations. Students are sharing materials with other class periods through out the day. \r\nStudents were excited when they saw they had access to colored high lighters and dry erase markers which they could use in the classroom. They use these on classwork, notes and homework. It helps them create connections and identify steps which aids in their success on assessments. Students ask and are excited to know that these are resources available to them regardless of the assignment(classwork, homework, quiz, test, etc.).\r\nStudents have been learning about function notation and bounds of a function and will next be exploring linear functions.
