Because we have combinations classrooms, I have been teaching an extra large group of 6th graders. The stools we now have can be used for flexible seating in our large group. This group moves to different classrooms because of space limitations. These stools make it easy for the students to move the seating to different areas around campus. \r\n\r\nThe stools have variable height settings which is also very helpful with the varied sizes of the tables we use and the varied heights of the 6th graders. \r\n\r\nWhen the packages arrived the students asked if they could put the stools together so they could have access quicker. It was fun to see them reading the instructions and using the tools to construct the stools\r\n\r\nWe are currently learning about the different social classes in ancient Egypt. Soon they will be creating Egyptian god trading cards.","fullyFundedDate":1762267627986,"projectUrl":"project/more-seats-for-more-students/9695349/","projectTitle":"More Seats for More Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thornton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4863089"},{"teacherId":10240462,"projectId":9679755,"letterContent":"I cannot explain how much I appreciate your kindness and generosity in donating to my project, \"Building Confidence, One Book at a Time\"!!! The Bad Seed series is a favorite and all have such great messages that we can use as social emotional learning as well. Many of the books I use during Morning Meeting, and others I use during our small reading groups where they can take turns reading aloud and following along as a group, like the Henry and Mudge Series. Although they love them all, I have to say that most of my class has become OBSESSED with reading the entire Mercy Watson series!!! Thank you for helping me a create a healthy space to not only discuss feelings and emotions through literature, but for creating a love of reading in my students!!!!","fullyFundedDate":1758831619338,"projectUrl":"project/building-confidence-one-book-at-a-time/9679755/","projectTitle":"Building Confidence, One Book at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hunt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10240462"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5168","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":336,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":10,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"17.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":85.0,"schoolId":5168,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Douglas L Whited Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Douglas L Whited Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/rincon-valley-union-school-district/douglas-l-whited-elementary-school/5168"}
