When my students first saw the new supplies, they were very happy and eager to use them. The cubby bins have helped keep our classroom organized and have given students a sense of responsibility as they learn to care for and return materials on their own. This has helped create a calm and organized learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident.\r\n\r\nThe STEM magnetic tiles have had a big impact on my students' learning. They use the tiles daily to build different things such as houses, buildings, and towers. While building, students practice naming shapes, comparing small and big structures, and working together with classmates. These hands-on activities support problem-solving, creativity, and early math skills. It has been wonderful to see my students share their creations and explain what they built.\r\n\r\nThe dry-erase markers are used every day during our writing lessons. Students practice writing their first and last names, alphabet letters, and numbers, which helps strengthen their early writing and fine motor skills. The laminating pouches allow me to create reusable learning materials that students can practice with again and again. The scholars work in partners or in a group to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fluency. These hands-on activities make learning fun and engaging. The scholars are becoming more confident and accurate with their math facts as they practice. As a result, students are better able to apply their fluency skills when solving problems during FIAB practice, which is helping them build confidence and readiness for the state test. \r\n\r\nThe next step for my scholars is to increase the level or rigor when they use these resources.
