Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for funding my Donors Choose project and providing me with the new MacBook Pro laptop.\r\n\r\nThis computer isn't just a piece of equipment; it has completely transformed our learning environment, solving persistent technical challenges and opening up vast new possibilities for hands-on, engaging projects.\r\n\r\nFor far too long, my virtual lessons were plagued by a slow, outdated computer that constantly lagged and froze. This was disruptive, frustrating for the students, and it severely limited how much content I could share. Now, with the power and speed of the new MacBook Pro, those issues are gone.\r\n\r\nMy Zoom classes run smoothly and reliably. This consistency has led to a noticeable increase in student engagement. They're no longer distracted by technical glitches, and they can focus entirely on the lesson and each other. The simple ability to share high-resolution videos, switch between applications, and use simultaneous tools without crashing has created a much more dynamic and professional virtual classroom.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting change is the new world of project-based learning we've been able to enter. The current operating system of the new MacBook Pro is up-to-date, meaning it can finally communicate effectively with our newer classroom technologies.\r\n\r\nSpecifically, this has enabled us to dive deep into Tinkercad projects. My students are learning 3D modeling and design skills that were not as accessible before because the old system couldn't handle the necessary software and file transfers to translate their STL files to actual prints. Now, they can seamlessly move their digital designs from the MacBook Pro to our 3D printers. We've gone from theoretical concepts to creating tangible, real-world objects, which is a powerful and motivating experience for every student. Seeing their digital creations become physical reality has been a true moment of learning and pride.\r\n\r\nThis new technology has done more than just streamline my workflow; it has provided my students with access to a modern, relevant curriculum that prepares them for future STEM careers. Because of you, their learning is no longer limited by outdated hardware.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your genuine belief in my students and your commitment to providing them with the best possible educational experience. Your donation has truly created a lasting impact.","fullyFundedDate":1755757314555,"projectUrl":"project/from-imagination-to-creation-empowering/9603427/","projectTitle":"From Imagination to Creation: Empowering K–5 Innovators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lim","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2298498_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1449080362092","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsclim"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_131587","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":85,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":8,"percentAsian":31,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":131587,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Pleasanton Virtual Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Pleasanton Virtual Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/pleasanton-unified-school-district/pleasanton-virtual-academy/131587"}
