Students were able to construct their own creation, discuss it in the Target language of Spanish, and then write a paragraph and an illustration using the sentence frames. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the box and heard that they received a surprise, they couldn't wait for me to open it. I explained to everyone that the items in the box were sent to our class through DonorsChoose. Furthermore, I elaborated that donations were sent to DonorsChoose based on the project that I created for our class. Their faces showed such pride and excitement that people would donate money to our classroom so Legos could be purchased to help with communication and writing in the Target language.\r\n\r\nWhen they sat down to begin, you could feel their excitement by the sound of their voices, conversations, and being able to create something from their imagination or world.
