Your donation has allowed us to create something simple yet incredibly meaningful for our students, a \"Fueling Minds\" snack initiative. Each counselor's office now has snack cubbies, drawers, and baskets filled with healthy and fun options for students to grab when they visit. What's made this even more special is that our student office aides have taken ownership of restocking the baskets and carts. It's become a shared project, students giving back to their peers, creating a small but powerful culture of care and connection.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the setup, many just stopped and stared in disbelief. They'd ask, \"Are those really for us?\" and when we'd reply, \"Yes, they're for you,\" their faces would light up. It was beautiful to witness. With the recent reduction in SNAP benefits, many of our families have been struggling more than usual, so something as simple as a bag of popcorn or a granola bar carried real impact. Even now, as our supply runs low, students continue to express gratitude and amazement that staff would go out of their way to provide something so small yet so meaningful. It's a reminder that care doesn't have to be big to be felt deeply.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I'd love to expand this project. Meeting a student's most basic need, nourishment, creates a pathway for them to focus, learn, and thrive in the classroom. It's been incredible to see how high school students, often so independent, still light up over something as small as a gummy snack. Partnering with our student body to spread the word and sustain this initiative will keep that energy going. Thank you again for helping make such a simple act of kindness become a daily source of joy and support for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1753825206509,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-minds-one-snack-at-a-time/9454046/","projectTitle":"Fueling Minds, One Snack at a Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Reggie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10074362_orig.jpg?crop=270,270,x369,y130&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753648370975","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10074362"},{"teacherId":9684767,"projectId":8670269,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations! With your support, I was able to create a welcoming space that truly meets my students' social-emotional needs. I work with a population where over 90% of students qualify for free lunch, so having snacks on hand was especially meaningful, whether to help curb hunger or to spark conversations and build connections.
