San Jacinto High School, I want to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support of My Project. At a continuation high school like ours, many students have faced challenges in traditional settings, but your donation helps remind them that they are capable of great things. With your contribution, we're able to provide meaningful, student-chosen incentive prizes—everything from art supplies to soccer balls to fidget toys—that encourage effort, focus, and persistence during state CAASPP testing.\r\n\r\nYour support makes a tangible difference. Because the prizes were selected with input from our student leaders, they're items our students genuinely value and look forward to. That sense of choice and ownership is powerful; it transforms what could feel like a stressful testing week into an opportunity for students to be recognized, celebrated, and motivated. These incentives don't just reward attendance and focus—they build pride, community, and the belief that effort is worth it.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity helps our students feel seen. Too often, their hard work goes unnoticed, but thanks to you, we can celebrate their commitment in real time. Every soccer ball kicked, every sketchbook filled, every fidget toy clicked represents a student who showed up, tried, and grew. Thank you for believing in our students and investing in their potential.","fullyFundedDate":1745866767509,"projectUrl":"project/shine-bright-show-mightknights-earn-pr/9212139/","projectTitle":"Shine Bright, Show Might—Knights Earn Prizes for Doing Testing Right!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bullis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6171268_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661833133137","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bullis"},{"teacherId":6712782,"projectId":9190928,"letterContent":"We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations. Making sticker mosaics is important for both children and adults as a low-stress, high-reward activity that develops fine motor skills, promotes mindfulness, and provides a sense of accomplishment. It is a versatile and accessible form of art therapy and education. Students also learn about shape and color theory (2 of the elements of art). There are times when my students get \"burnt out\" from drawing but find the sticker mosaic activity, as a calming and productive break from their other projects. \r\n\r\nMaking sticker mosaic can enhance motor skills and improve hand-eye coordination. Teaching at a continuation high school means adapting constantly, and your donation helped us breathe a little easier this semester. Every item you funded is already being used or will be soon, from the toner that keeps our materials flowing to the snacks that keep students going during long testing days.\r\n\r\nThe classroom library additions were especially appreciated—students asked for those titles specifically, and when a teenager actually cracks open a book without being told to, it matters. The art supplies have already made our English and Craft classes more engaging, and honestly, more fun. There's something about a pack of Sharpies and fresh materials that makes it easier to connect and create.\r\n\r\nThe TPT gift card was a quiet game-changer. It let me grab fresh, relevant content that speaks to our students—many of whom show up with complicated histories and are still figuring out their path forward. Your help gave me room to teach more meaningfully instead of constantly trying to patch holes with whatever I could find.\r\n\r\n\r\nSincerely,\r\nMr. Bullis\r\nMount San Jacinto High School","fullyFundedDate":1739514004087,"projectUrl":"project/spring-refresh-fueling-minds-sparking/9111299/","projectTitle":"Spring Refresh: Fueling Minds, Sparking Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bullis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6171268_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661833133137","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bullis"},{"teacherId":9922663,"projectId":9111370,"letterContent":"When my students were informed of the new, looming products and a vibrant collection of yarn colors, their faces lit up with joy and excitement. Once we received the products, they were eager to learn how to use them. We watched a quick instructional video that demonstrated the use of the pompom tools, and I could feel their joy as they discovered just how simple it was to craft their pom poms for custom beanies and scarves. One particularly creative student decided to take on the challenge of designing an eye-catching pompom scarf instead.\r\n\r\nThis new creative avenue has truly unleashed a wave of imagination among my students, fostering a sense of community and collaboration that is invigorating to witness. It's heartwarming to see several students expand their skill sets as they create charming beanies not only for themselves but also for their beloved pets and family members. Meanwhile, others have embraced the challenge of making unique scarves adorned with whimsical pom poms—a delightful new skill they've acquired with the help of our latest looming tools.","fullyFundedDate":1739502383891,"projectUrl":"project/looming-for-love/9111370/","projectTitle":"Looming for love","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Camacho","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9922663"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54075","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":357,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":90,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"10 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":59.8,"schoolId":54075,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mount San Jacinto High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mount San Jacinto High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/palm-springs-unified-school-district/mt-san-jacinto-high-school/54075"}
