Every Friday we have \"Fun Friday\" and my students get to play toss across. They paint beautiful pictures and have them dry in our classroom because we have our new art drying rack. We use the colorful expo markers everyday to write our alphabets and numbers on our whiteboards. The counting bears helps my students count one to one. Now that we have these manipulatives, my students are counting higher than they ever have. Thank you!\r\nWhen my students seen all of the snacks that you generously provided, they were so excited and started jumping up and down. While my students are doing work in the classroom, they get little snacks to eat to keep their energy up and their and their tummy's full. \r\nOur next steps are learning number bonds with our small bears. They understand it better when they use manipulatives like small bears to learn about part, part, whole, for number bonds.","fullyFundedDate":1729607423247,"projectUrl":"project/little-hands-creating-big-works-of-art/8746475/","projectTitle":"Little Hands Creating Big Works of Art!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Montgomery","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9734503_orig.jpg?crop=453,453,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726520929339","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9734503"},{"teacherId":9752965,"projectId":8791423,"letterContent":"I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. The whiteboards, markers, standing desk, and magnetic fractions have already had such a positive impact on our learning environment. My students use the whiteboards daily for interactive lessons, where they can work out problems in real-time, making the learning process more engaging and collaborative. The standing desk has been especially beneficial for students who need to move and stay active while working, and it has helped them focus better during lessons. The magnetic fractions have been a fantastic hands-on tool for students to visualize and manipulate fractions, making abstract concepts more concrete and easier to understand.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled! They were eager to try out the new whiteboards and markers, and the excitement was palpable. It was a moment of pure joy when they got to explore the magnetic fractions—they were fascinated by how they could move the pieces around to create different fractions and see the relationships between them. One of our recent projects involved using the magnetic fractions to build fraction models and then write corresponding equations on the whiteboards. It was amazing to see the students working together, problem-solving, and learning from one another. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're currently diving deeper into fractions, and the next step will be applying these concepts to real-world problems, such as measuring ingredients for recipes or dividing items evenly in a group. These new resources will continue to play a crucial role in making learning more interactive and hands-on, and I can't wait to see how much further we can go with them. Once again, thank you so much for your support—it's making a world of difference in our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1729607423770,"projectUrl":"project/magnificent-mathematicians/8791423/","projectTitle":"Magnificent Mathematicians","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Washington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9752965"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28455","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":565,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"23.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":28455,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Montera Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Montera Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/ontario-montclair-school-district/montera-elementary-school/28455"}
