Before this project, our gardening tools and supplies were scattered and difficult to access, which often slowed down lessons and limited what we could o in our school garden. Now, with the new shed in place, everything has a home- making it easier for students to dive right into planting, harvesting and caring for our garden space. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate when the students first saw the shed. Many of them helped decide how to organize the tools, and they took great pride in setting it up. Having this dedicated space has transformed the garden into a more efficient and inspiring learning environment. Students are engaged in our gardening lessons, from learning about plant life cycles to exploring the science of composing and pollination. \r\n\r\nThis shed isn't just storage- its a hub for creativity, teamwork, and hands on learning, We're now able to plan more ambitious projects, like growing seasonal vegetables for our cooking program and creating a pollinator garden to support local wildlife. Your generosity has given our students a resource that will support their learning and connection to nature for tears to come.","fullyFundedDate":1693697828674,"projectUrl":"project/shedding-light-on-green-thumbs-fundrais/7354367/","projectTitle":"Shedding Light on Green Thumbs: Fundraising for Fantastical Garden Shed","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Epstein","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6384871_orig.jpg?crop=509,509,x0,y33&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1601897146467","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6384871"},{"teacherId":6384871,"projectId":7376597,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for making it possible for my students to receive these incredible books. Since they have arrived, our classroom has been filled with curiosity, discussions, and new connections to the world around us. \r\n\r\nReading in our classroom has become an active, engaging process. Students work in small groups to share passages that stand out to them, ask thoughtful questions, and draw connections between the stories in the books and their own lives. \r\n\r\nOne student , who often stayed quiet during class, recently gave a powerful reflection about how a biography we read inspired him to think about his own future differently. These moments have shown me that your generosity is not just providing books- it is opening doors to pride, identity and possibility.","fullyFundedDate":1685983553263,"projectUrl":"project/empowered-roots-celebrating-black-histo/7376597/","projectTitle":"Empowered Roots: Celebrating Black History","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Epstein","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6384871_orig.jpg?crop=509,509,x0,y33&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1601897146467","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6384871"},{"teacherId":579147,"projectId":7597729,"letterContent":"Brand new books are always exciting.
